Do I need to be an experienced artist?

No. The retreat welcomes emerging artists, hobbyists, beginners, and professional artists. All levels are welcome.

Are art materials provided?

Yes. Participants receive all materials needed for the sessions, including sketchbooks, pencils, charcoal, canvas, and acrylic paints.

Bring comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and any personal sketching tools you enjoy using. If you plan to camp, you may bring your own tent and camping equipment, or rent a tent at the venue during registration. All essential art materials are provided, including sketchbooks, pencils, charcoal, canvas, and acrylic paints. For the morning yoga sessions, bringing your own yoga mat is recommended but optional.

Yes. Breakfast and dinner are included each day, and vegan options are available.

Are the model sessions nude?

Yes. Several sessions include live nude models, a traditional practice in figure drawing and art education. Participants must be 18 years or older to attend these sessions. To respect the models’ privacy, phones and photography are not allowed during nude sessions. Participants are expected to maintain a professional and respectful atmosphere during these sessions. Any inappropriate behavior toward models or participants will result in immediate removal from the event without refund.

Can I attend only one day?

Yes. Day Pass tickets are available for those who would like to join the retreat for a single day. Day pass participants take part in the live sketching sessions and the activities scheduled for that day, which may include portrait circle sketching, sunset canvas painting, open pose sketching, or the cacao ceremony. Availability may vary depending on the day.

What happens if I need to cancel my participation?

Tickets are refundable up to 30 days before the retreat. After that date, tickets may be transferred to another participant but are not refundable.

What is Sketching Summer?

Sketching Summer is a 3 day creative retreat by the sea combining live model drawing, painting, relaxation, and community experiences in nature.
It is not a workshop or art class. It’s an immersive creative experience focused on drawing, atmosphere, and connection.

Do I need drawing experience?

No. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced artists.
The retreat is designed to be relaxed, open, and non-judgmental.

What is included in the retreat?

The retreat includes:

Final exhibition
